Mission Statement
Shelter Bible Church – AZ is a local fellowship of Christians that worship and serve God together. We are dependent on God alone and recognize that we are a part of the greater universal body of believers with Jesus Christ as the head. We serve local believers through fellowship and nurturing spiritual and physical needs as we are sanctified by God. We serve the greater universal body of believers by cooperating in ministry to evangelize and grow the Church by faithfully using the resources, both physical and spiritual, that God has blessed us with. We strive to be good stewards of His gifts and resources in building up His beloved Church both locally and universally. We strive to be salt and light in this fallen world so that others may find hope and salvation in Christ by seeing Him in us and knowing that we are Christians by our love for one another.

Will Aldrich
Teaching Elder / Pastor
Will was raised in a solid Christian home by godly parents. His dad was a pastor for almost 50 years, with his mom serving alongside him. They brought up the family to love the Lord wholeheartedly. Will put his faith in the Lord at a young age and has followed Him closely since. In 2008, he graduated from Multnomah Bible College with a degree in Bible and Theology, and a minor in Psychology. He has served in various ministry roles from youth leader, a leader in men's ministry, deacon of men's ministry, children's ministry teacher, running sound boards on Sunday mornings, and more.
Will and Kayla have been married for 15 years and have two boys, Willie and Bronson. Will has spent most of his life working in construction. He enjoys hunting, fishing, finish carpentry projects, and working with people. As a family, they enjoy being outside in God’s creation fishing, hunting, kayaking, hiking and camping.
Jack Gracie
Elder
Jack & Deborah Gracie have been married for over 50 years (since 1973). They have two children, Richard and Leticia. They have been blessed with two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Jack and Deborah were both raised in strong Christian families where the gospel was presented and supported. They both received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in their pre-teen years.
After reading a book titled "So What's The Difference", Jack was burdened for people deceived in cults. After much prayer, a ministry was founded called Christian Awareness Fellowship (CAF). CAF presented seminars regarding cults, the occult, major religions, and spiritual warfare. CAF also had a film ministry and syndicated radio program on 33 different radio stations. After several years, Jack paused from the daily radio program to fill the pulpit for Pastors in Tucson. Jack served as an elder in their church and taught adult Sunday school classes for 30 years.
Jack spent 38 years working in the engineering department of a large mining company. Jack did surveying, future planning, desigined buildings and dams, and project management. The last 8 years of his employment with the mining company, he went to all 58 mining sites spread across 17 states to determine whether to retain or monetize each site. Jack retired in 2009.
Jack and Deborah enjoy traveling and exploring new and unique places. Jeep adventures and camping are also high on their list of fun activities. They cherish the blessing of fellowshipping with family and friends.
Bob Jones
Elder
Bob and his wife Theresa have five children and three grand-children. After graduating from high school, Bob joined the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a crypto repairman. After leaving the Army, Bob worked doing circuit board repair and testing. He then became a field service engineer for GE Healthcare servicing diagnostic imaging equipment. Bob will retire at the end of 2026 after 35 years at General Electric. Bob's parents raised him in the church and he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was seven years old. His father was always involved in church leadership and eventually became a Pastor in California. Bob has served in churches for most of his life including as an elder, teacher, and ministry leader. Bob and Theresa love riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles, spending time with their children and grand-children, and fellowshipping with their extended family through Christ.
Statement of Faith
Shelter Bible Church – AZ is not affiliated with any denomination and does not necessarily ascribe to any named doctrine or theological construct. We believe that God’s revelation of Himself and His will, recorded in the Bible, is the ultimate authority on all doctrinal or theological matters. We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness (2-Timothy 3:16). We believe the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and consistent in its message, in its original manuscript. We will not add to, or subtract from, canonized scripture. Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we are silent. We believe that the Bible is clear on all essential matters. We acknowledge that the Bible can be interpreted differently by respectable and sincere minds on some peripheral matters. We stand firm on all essentials of sound doctrine. We offer grace and take no dogmatic stance on peripheral matters. We believe that Christians should not divide over peripheral matters that are non-essential to the nature and person of God and His redemptive plan for our salvation but should unite on the essentials of sound doctrine. We hold to the credo: “in essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity.”
The essentials of sound doctrine are:
One God: Yahweh is the one and only true God.

Trinity: Yahweh is one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17)
Eternality: God is an eternally existent being.
(Psalms 90:2, Revelation 1:8)
Creation: God created all that exists in six days. He exercised and established Shabbat (Sabbath) on the seventh day as a day of rest and fellowship with Him and other believers.

Humankind: God created mankind, as male and female, uniquely in His image, commanded us to bond in the covenant of marriage and multiply and have dominion over the earth, plants and animals that He created.

The Fall of Humankind: Mankind, through Adam and Eve, were deceived by the serpent and chose to disobey God’s command to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They believed the serpent’s lie that they could “become like God”.

Humankind’s Sin Nature: Mankind’s initial rebellion through Adam & Eve caused a nature of sin and iniquity that is inherent in all mankind. This inherent sin nature brought a requirement of death and separated us from the fellowship with God which He created us for and desires.

God’s Mercy: Because His perfect Holy nature cannot tolerate imperfection, God’s plan re-established fellowship with mankind in His loving and merciful grace.

Jesus’ Virgin Birth: Joseph was a sinful man, and Mary was a sinful virgin woman, that God chose to deliver and raise Jesus until His ministry on earth began.

Jesus’ Deity: Jesus, God-the-Son in the flesh of mankind, lived a perfect life and performed many miracles to confirm His Deity.
(Hebrews 4:14-15, John 5:30-40, John 10:37-39)
Propitiation in Death: Because of His perfection, Jesus did not deserve death as all other mankind does. Therefore, His death could pay the debt of mankind’s sin and iniquity.

Jesus’ Resurrection: Jesus affirmed that He is God, and that His death was sufficient payment for our sins, when He raised from death after three days in the grave. He revealed Himself to the Apostles and many others in the days before His ascension back to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God-the-Father as an advocate for us.

Salvation: God offers the opportunity to all mankind for a restored relationship of fellowship with Him, and adoption into His family. All who recognize that they deserve death and separation from God because of their sin and iniquity, choose to repent and accept the free gift from God of payment for their sins through Jesus’ death on the cross, and choose to follow His will to the best of their ability, are adopted into His family and will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Holy Spirit: God sent His Holy Spirit to indwell all who choose His free gift of salvation and become His adopted children.
(John 14:15-21, 1-Corinthians 3:16, 1-Corinthians 6:19-20)
Christ’s Second Coming: Jesus will return as triumphant King to judge mankind and take His adopted brothers and sisters to eternal life in Heaven.

The Great Commission: God commands all believers to, “Go and make disciples of all people.”
